Truly RESTful applications leverage media types and contextual links to make your service discoverable and self-descriptive with hypermedia as the engine of application state (HATEOAS). Using hypermedia your API will serve as live documentation supporting exploration and testing of your REST application. But how should you structure your code? What mediatypes should you use? This presentation shares the experience of building several RESTful applications with JAX-RS and shows how to take advantage of the upcoming 2.0 release.
