As Software Engineer you are part of Philips Anesthesia Care’s group of 5 Software Engineers who are working on updates to existing products as well as software design on new products. The Software Engineering team plays a central role within the R&D organization.

Responsibilities include:

Derive and document software requirements based upon System and Product Specifications
Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
Work in a multi-disciplined engineering team to define interfaces between hardware and software
Design and document software architecture and design
Develop and debug code to implement the design
Participate in Verification activities including code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and documentation reviews
Follow applicable Quality System procedures for all software development activities

You have a minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in software engineering and/or software development and you master C/C++, Object Oriented Design and development, the formal SW lifecycle and documentation, all preferably related to products. Experience with SW/HW interface, LAN protocol Interface and control loops is a plus - as is experience from a Medical Device company or other highly regulated fields of business. You are used to write and communicate in English.

You are a strong team player, have a great sense of responsibility and take action in order to carry out the processes from the design phase to implementation in products. You can also work independently and are able to apply prior experience to the Software Engineering projects and thereby adding value to the development of the team performance.
