The job:
As Software Development Engineer in Test you will be responsible for all aspects of code-based testing of software products developed by Microsoft. This includes the technical development of internal software, such as tools and frameworks used for testing purposes as well as test deliverables such as test classes and coverage metrics. Furthermore, you will work with product code together with other developers to utilize contemporary development strategies such as Test Driven Development.
Experienced test professionals at Microsoft work closely with Software Development Engineers and Program Managers to understand product requirements and functionality, design appropriate test plans and test cases to verify features and functionalities and identify bugs through systematic testing. In the course of their work, test professionals also identify key business improvement opportunities and potential future projects.
Microsoft test organizations apply and develop a rich set of effective test methodologies, including unit testing, negative testing, customer based scenario testing and globalization testing. All are conducted with the goal of assuring that customers receive products of the highest quality.

You will be part of a team that is responsible for creating features for Microsoft Dynamics™ AX within the domain of ERP.

Your team operates in a local organization of 500+ people and on a larger scale cooperates with other teams and organizations worldwide, including several teams in Microsoft Headquarters, US.
Responsibilities:
Your role within the team will be to engage in all steps of the software development cycle:
- Plan, design, code and execute tests
- Participate in feature development and drive quality into development process
- Test, troubleshoot and critique software components and interfaces in technical depth.
- Maintain automation base that must be executed on a re-occurring basis
- Provide efficient reports on team progress and own assignments
- Work with developers for immediate testing (pair-wise, buddy test etc.)
- Understand customer requirements and ensure product experience no regressions on functionality.
- Design and develop solutions for test management, execution and reporting as well as frameworks, C# libraries and similar to support high-quality test code
Qualifications:
We are looking for someone with
- Passion for product quality
- 1-3 years of professional experience with C# or similar object oriented programming languages.
- Experience in Visual Studio developing environment and SQL server
- Debugging and code inspection skills
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills
- Excellent English communication skills - written and oral
- Ability to get deliverables finished, deployed and put into use
- Experience in developing software test automation is an advantage
- An academic degree within computer science, engineering or math is an advantage
- Experience within the ERP domain is an advantage
