Experienced Test Engineer Wanted
We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join our Test Centre department with the focus on our client facing trading applications. The Test Centre is responsible for the release testing of the portfolio of core systems in Saxo Banks on-line trading platforms as well as improving and maintaining the Saxo Bank Regression test suite. Our trading platform is mainly custom built on Microsoft technologies, but also includes a number of third party systems integrated into the platform. We are using agile development methods (Kanban & Scrum), and it is the Test Centre and IT Trading Platforms responsibility to handle the transition from project delivery to deployment in production. Saxo Banks IT Department has more than 500 employees, hereof approximate 130 in Test. Approx. 45 testers are working in the Test Centre department.
As our new Test Engineer you will need to be able to combine your strong testing skills with the ability to quickly understand the various trading products and new offerings that we provide to our Clients to enrich their trading experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Test Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Functional testing of our trading Applications, in a Client - Server environment, using various techniques. From exploratory testing to system level testing.
- Planning, estimating, specifying, and executing test.
- Maintain close contact with internal and external consultants and outsourcing partner used in both test and development departments.
- Estimating own test effort and report to SCRUM/Kanban teams.
- Using and improving best practices within area of influence.
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- More than 5 years of experience from a large and complex software test environment.
- Experience in test of Web and .Net internet applications.
- Clear understanding of TCP/IP protocols and encryption.
- Strong Knowledge of how applications integrate with other technologies e.g. Silverlight, JAVA, HTML5 and external service providers.
- Fluency in English, both in writing and speech.
- Strong understanding of how software enables the online business. Preferably from the banking / investment banking industry.
- Have experience with Agile development methods.
- Have an ISEB/ISTQB certification.
